Frisco Kid Gene
Wilder takes what has been called "his
most unusual role" in The Frisco Kid. Gene
plays the role of a naive 19th-century
rabbi, sent from his native Poland to the
fledgling Jewish community in San
Francisco, USA. The
Frisco Kid is a funny, warm-hearted comic
adventure. The trusting soul is easy prey
for the con men and criminals who prey on
the immigrants arriving in the
Philadelphia port and the rabbi, beaten
but unbowed, continues his trek West solo
- broke, underequipped and hopelessly
lost. Harrison
Ford, fresh from Star Wars, is the roguish
outlaw who adopts the determined traveler
and the two become unlikely friends as
they make their way through one scrape
after another. Over
The Hedge Gene
Wilder is the voice of Norbert the Owl in
Over The Hedge. The animation is
brilliant, the acting is excellent and the
satirical jabs at consumerism are
hilarious. An enjoyable animated
movie. The
manicured lawns and overstuffed garbage
cans of suburbia become a buffet for
woodland creatures in Over The Hedge. A
self-centered raccoon named RJ (voiced by
Bruce Willis) steals and accidentally
destroys the hoard of an angry bear (Nick
Nolte), who gives the raccoon a week to
replace it. RJ despairs - until he meets
an odd gang of foragers, ranging from a
turtle named Verne (Garry Shandling), a
father/daughter duo of possums (William
Shatner and Avril Lavigne), a family of
porcupines and a hyperactive squirrel
named Hammy (Steve Carell). Will
And Grace, Season 5 The
fifth season of Will And Grace is rich
with famous acting talent, including two
episodes with Gene Wilder. The
unique relationship between Will Truman
and Grace Adler continues to evolve and in
addition to Gene, we also have episodes
featuring Madonna, Kevin Bacon, Minnie
Driver, Rip Torn, Macauley Culkin, Andy
Garcia, Nicolette Sheridan. and Roseanna
Arquette In
episode six (Boardroom and a Parked
Place), a senior partner in Will's firm,
Mr Stein (Gene Wilder) assumes command.
Karen and Jack are shocked to discover
that Karen is living in her
limo. In
episode nineteen (Sex, Losers and
Videotape), Grace enrolls in Jack's acting
class in order to make a sexy video for
Leo. Will, Karen and Mr Stein form an
anti-romance club. The
Lady In Question Gene
Wilder is back as Cash Carter in this
sequel to Murder In A Small Town (both
movies were written by Gene Wilder and
Gilbert Pearlman). This time, his
investigation threatens to turn him into
the next victim of a mysterious
killer. Set
in 1938, Gene Wilder plays Larry 'Cash'
Carter, a one-time Broadway theatrical
director who has moved to a quiet
Connecticut town in Stamford, where he
oversees a community theatre group and
works as a private
investigator. Alice
In Wonderland In
the role of the Mock Turtle, Gene Wilder
is fabulous alongside Whoopi Goldberg,
Robbie Coltrane and Ben Kingsley in this
impressive-looking version of Lewis
Carroll's story. Carroll's
tale of whimsical, illogical adventures is
a field day for designers Roger Hall and
Alan Tomkins, costumer Charles Knode, Jim
Henson's Creature Shop and director Nick
Willing. Murder
In A Small Town A
widowed theatre director moves to a small
Connecticut town where he gets involved in
solving the murder of a millionaire, who
was the most despised man in
town. Larry
'Cash' Carter (Gene Wilder) has an eye for
detail and a view of the criminal mind.
While there are many people who could be
the murderer, it is up to Cash to narrow
the list of suspects. A
classic whodunit that will leave you
dangling until the final scene, A Murder
In A Small Town is fun, witty and
charming. Funny
About Love He
wants to be a family man in the funniest
way. With Gene Wilder in the lead role,
you can be sure there's something Funny
About Love. Gene joins Christine Lahti and
Mary Stuart Masterson in this sometimes
tender, always terrific romantic comedy
directed by Leonard Nimoy. Funny
About Love centers on Duffy Berman (Gene
Wilder), a famed cartoonist who's
biological clock has sounded - just in
time for a mid-life crisis. Duffy wants a
child and when his marriage fails to
produce one, he begins a comic quest for
fulfillment. See
No Evil, Hear No Evil See
No Evil, Hear No Evil reunites the
outrageous comedy duo Richard Pryor and
Gene Wilder. Meet
Wally and Dave. Wally is blind, Dave is
deaf. When a man is murdered outside the
newsstand where they work, the police
collar these two unlikely buddies as their
main suspects. A hilarious chase ensues as
Wally and Dave hightail it from the New
York Police Department to snag the real
bad guys. If
you're a fan of great comedy and action
that features two comic geniuses then this
movie is a must, The
Producers Low-rent
Broadway producer Max Bialystock (Zero
Mostel) and his high-strung accountant,
Leo Bloom (Gene Wilder), discover that,
with the help of a few gullible investors,
they can make more money on a flop than on
a hit! Armed
with the worst show ever written
("Springtime for Hitler") and an equally
horrific cast, this double-dealing duo is
banking on disaster. But when their
sure-to-offend musical becomes a surprise
smash hit, they find themselves in the
middleof a Broadway blitzkrieg.
